With the Arid collection, the Barcelona-based studio Nahtran<\/a>g reaffirms its ability to transform the technical into the poetic. Designed for the lighting brand Bover<\/a>, this wall fixture transcends its function to become a versatile lighting system that reinterprets coastal landscapes through serenity and minimalist gestures.<\/p>\n\n

Arid<\/em>\u00a0does more than provide light\u2014it offers a new way of inhabiting space. With its delicate, modular structure, this wall light traces a choreography of shadows and reflections that evoke wind-swept sand or water flowing over rock. It\u2019s a type of lighting that doesn\u2019t intrude, but rather accompanies.<\/p>\n\n\n

Geometry inspired by nature<\/h2>\n\n\n

The design of Arid<\/em> stems from a simple yet profound question: how can the calm of a natural landscape be translated into an object that enhances both indoor and outdoor spaces? The result is a flexible system that allows for multiple compositions thanks to its modular framework, where the wall fixture becomes the base for a play of decorative tiles\u2014and, in indoor settings, can incorporate a reading light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The light, always indirect, flows from the wall and defines volume with subtlety. This luminous trace doesn\u2019t just outline the object\u2019s shape\u2014it creates a sensory atmosphere that invites contemplation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noble materials, characterful finishes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The selection of materials follows both aesthetic and functional logic. Aluminum\u2014often perceived as cold\u2014becomes warm and inviting here through surface treatments and an attention to detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tiles come in a color palette inspired by nature: white, copper brown, pebble grey, ochre yellow, olive grey, and slate blue. These tones engage with architecture without dominating it, adapting with ease to both contemporary and classic environments.<\/p>\n\n\n
