At the top of a stately building in the heart of Bilbao, where the beams brush against the sky and light filters gently through sloping rooftops, Deca Estudio<\/a> has carried out a delicate transformation: a modest attic of barely 50 square meters, reimagined as a serene, harmonious, and balanced refuge.<\/p>\n\n

Far from the noise and bustle of the city, the new apartment breathes spaciousness and clarity thanks to a layout that eschews traditional compartments in favor of an open and continuous flow. A soft color palette, paired with Hungarian Point oak flooring, brings a sense of organic warmth to the whole.<\/p>\n\n

The kitchen, the heart of the project, is organized around a central island placed before a large window that opens onto the terrace. This architectural gesture turns the kitchen into a gathering point, a space for daily exchange and shared moments. The design is not only functional, it seeks to awaken emotion.<\/p>\n\n

Integrated secrets<\/h2>\n\n\n

The precision of the design is revealed in the details. A paneled wall, with a sober and elegant design, conceals storage space, a breakfast nook, and the best-kept secret: a bathroom that surprises with its delicacy. Finished in microcement, with a natural wood vanity and brushed gold fixtures, this small space becomes a domestic oasis, a quiet corner of retreat in the heart of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n

Light, air, and architecture<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The sloped ceiling becomes an expressive ally. The living room is framed by the original architecture and its mouldings, recovering the classic essence of the dwelling through a contemporary lens. For the furnishings, Deca Estudio selects pieces of soul and craftsmanship: the Spanish Chair<\/em> by Fredericia, the Artum<\/em> lamp by Ferm Living, and a low table in travertine marble coexist in harmony, giving voice to noble materials and honest design.<\/p>\n\n\n

The bedroom connects to the living area through a partition of glass and white-lacquered wood. By forgoing solid walls and conventional doors, spatial continuity is enhanced and natural light flows freely, unifying the entire space.<\/p>\n\n

A quiet atmosphere<\/h2>\n\n\n

In the bedroom, linen textiles and dusty hues create a peaceful, intimate ambiance, an invitation to rest and contemplation. The entire project, from spatial layout to the choice of finishes, seems guided by a common premise: to respect the existing and infuse it with new life, free from excess. An architectural act of listening that links the memory of the place with a renewed aesthetic.<\/p>\n\n\n
