When I was five years old, I asked my parents for a pot of indigo blue paint and another of eucalyptus green for Epiphany. I didn’t want dolls or toys, but to paint half of my room a colour similar to the sea and the other half a colour similar to the meadows of the Basque Country. Perhaps someone would think that I did that so as not to miss so much, during the winter, the summer holidays, a beautiful summer I spent on the Cantabrian Sea, near Zarautz, but in reality I know that that pot of paint, just like the extracurricular painting or ceramics classes, was the trigger for what I have decided to dedicate my life to: converting spaces into unique, singular and practical places.<\/p>\n
Now, almost thirty years older, I have two great passions: the first is to continue going to Zarautz whenever I can to enjoy the surf and sunrise in a van with views of the sea and its meadows; the second, obviously, is to apply my passion for design, attention to detail and good taste to all my projects without ever forgetting that five-year-old girl who wanted to turn her house into the most beautiful place in the world.<\/p>\n
Mar\u00eda Berm\u00fadez’s studio is called Quefalamaria, an interior design studio focused on the realization of projects and integral reforms of homes and commercial spaces<\/b>.
