Fulden Topalo\u011flu graduated from the Industrial Engineering Department of Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i University in 2004 and obtained her master’s degree (2009) and PhD (2016) from the Industrial Product Design Department of Istanbul Technical University.<\/p>\n
During her professional life, she worked as an industrial designer at Istanbul-based Tasar\u0131m\u00fcss\u00fc Design Studio and as a design group manager at Koleksiyon Mobilya. She carried out a wide range of design and development projects for companies in different industrial sectors, including furniture, accessories, home textiles, packaging, jewellery, chocolate, graphics and homeware designs for renowned brands in the Turkish market. <\/span><\/p>\n She currently channels her passion and expertise into providing design services under Studio Kali, as well as building a meaningful and responsible brand with her own collection of products.<\/p>\n “I live and work in Istanbul. Turkey’s cultural and geographical heritage occupies a very important place in my designs. In addition to its subconscious effects, I consciously choose to base the starting point of many of my designs on these cultural and geographical inspirations. Especially in the Studio Kali product collection, my design studio, the cultural heritage, craft traditions and natural geography of my country are my main sources of inspiration<\/i>.”<\/p>\n As an academic and firm believer in the value of sharing industrial experience as well as “continuous learning through teaching”, she teaches as an assistant professor at the Department of Industrial Design, Medipol University, Istanbul.
