Roberto Lazzeroni was born in Pisa, the city where he has chosen to live and work. His professional background stems from his studies in Art and Architecture in Florence. From the beginning, he has shown interest in both conceptual art phenomena and radical design. In the early 1980s, he began to focus on industrial and interior design\u2014a specialization he considers fundamental for his later approach to the world of industrial product design. A deep connoisseur of design history and its related signs, he skillfully applies this knowledge in his daily practice.<\/p>\n
When speaking about his own projects, Lazzeroni uses the term sentimental design<\/i>; indeed, even an untrained eye can perceive the tension between past and future in his work. This tendency is now defined as transitive design<\/i>. The signs of the past are in some way recognizable; they are clearly reinterpreted, resulting in a real and balanced tension between what has been and what is yet to come. Lazzeroni\u2019s education and vision of design have led him to specialize in art direction. Today, he primarily works on the overarching concept behind the birth of a brand.<\/p>\n
