She holds a degree in Fine Arts from the <span class=\"s1\"><b>University of the Basque Country<\/b><\/span>, a diploma in Industrial Design from the <span class=\"s1\"><b>Scuola Politecnica di Design<\/b><\/span> in Milan, and a degree in Interior Design from the <span class=\"s1\"><b>Escuela Superior de Dise\u00f1o de Logro\u00f1o<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">For over two decades, she has been committed to <\/span><b>design education<\/b><span class=\"s2\">, particularly in the <\/span><b>generation of form<\/b><span class=\"s2\">, <\/span><b>Design for All<\/b><span class=\"s2\">, and <\/span><b>Ergonomics<\/b><span class=\"s2\">, teaching at the former <\/span><b>Escuela Experimental de Dise\u00f1o (now Arte10)<\/b><span class=\"s2\"> in Madrid and at the <\/span><b>Escola d\u2019Art i Superior de Disseny Illes Balears<\/b><span class=\"s2\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Her research has always been deeply linked to <span class=\"s1\"><b>craft-based practices<\/b><\/span>, particularly those involving <span class=\"s1\"><b>textiles and their processes<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">With her background in industrial design, she seeks in objects more than just symbolic function. Her works are always <span class=\"s1\"><b>useful, original, and innovative projects<\/b><\/span>, shaped by a <span class=\"s1\"><b>personal design language and ongoing research<\/b><\/span>, blending <span class=\"s1\"><b>tradition with innovation<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Currently, Mar\u00eda works with <span class=\"s1\"><b>wool from Mallorcan sheep<\/b><\/span>, which, especially after the <span class=\"s1\"><b>COVID-19 crisis<\/b><\/span>, has become an <span class=\"s1\"><b>environmental and economic challenge<\/b><\/span>. Classified as <span class=\"s1\"><b>animal waste (SANDACH 3)<\/b><\/span> under EU Regulation (EC) No 1069\/2009, this wool has little commercial value due to the <span class=\"s1\"><b>coarse quality of its fiber<\/b><\/span>. Mar\u00eda actively participates in the <span class=\"s1\"><b>shearing process<\/b><\/span>, then washes and cards the fleece by hand.
