Jorge Herrera

Jorge Herrera sums up his approach to design with a clear statement: “Honest, simple, beautiful, and durable: my style, my work.”

From the very beginning of his career, Jorge has aimed to create simple and essential objects and spaces—high-quality designs that are durable in terms of use, production, and concept. After years of global and multidisciplinary training, he founded his own studio on the premise of producing through simple, detailed, and passionate processes.

Jorge Herrera’s design philosophy is defined by a pursuit of balance between simplicity, functionality, and beauty: the foundation of his style and the core of his work.

“All these years have brought professional growth, as well as personal and cultural enrichment. The exchange that takes place when interacting with different countries is always rewarding. It ultimately shapes the way I understand life—which is also the way I understand design. Everything is connected and in clear balance.”

Jorge is also a guest lecturer at the School of Art and Design in Valencia (EASD) and has conducted workshops at the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Madrid and at the CEU Cardenal Herrera University in Valencia. He has also served as a jury member for the iF Design Award.

His studio, founded in 2008, collaborates with international firms and major brands such as Flos, Porcelanosa, Miyazaki Chair Factory, Forma 5, Cridea, Nadis, esPattio, Oiside, Todobarro, Idée, Sanycces, LedsC4, and Bover.
