Influenza Espais is an interior design studio based in Vilobí d’Onyar, Girona, founded in 2003 by Mercè de las Heras and Pau de las Heras. Over more than two decades, the studio has built its identity around curiosity and continuous learning, two driving forces that translate, in every commission, into a service that goes beyond the floor plan: complicity and enthusiasm toward those who entrust it with their projects.

The team works on interior design, styling and decoration from a global perspective, attentive to both the concept and its execution, down to the last detail. It regularly collaborates with architecture and engineering studios and developers, a joint effort that allows every project to reach the level of definition that sets the singular apart from the repeated. For Influenza Espais, what is seen matters, but what is felt in a space matters more: that premise guides both the proposal of furniture and decorative elements and the follow-up of the execution, until the result responds exactly to the life of whoever inhabits it.

Mercè de las Heras

Mercè de las Heras came to interior design after an earlier career in the business world and financial markets. It was listening to a restlessness sustained over time that led her to turn her professional life around: she trained in interior design at IED Barcelona and later specialized in harmony in the habitat, a discipline that approaches space from a human, aesthetic and emotional perspective.

That origin marks the way she works. Traveling, visiting trade fairs and staying in continuous training are, for her, the source that feeds every project. As founder, CEO and project director of Influenza Espais, and also in her work as an interior and product designer for Dareels, Mercè seeks to create spaces that speak of the people who live in them, that move and that endure.

Pau de las Heras

Pau de las Heras graduated in Technical Engineering in Industrial Design from Elisava. He always had a passion for technical drawing and the plastic arts. That technical foundation was the gateway into the world of interior design, where he found the space to bring together creativity, precision and personalization.

Founder and CEO of Influenza Espais since 2003, Pau brings tailored solutions to every project: unique pieces, specific furniture or adapted structural elements, always with the aim of making the space respond exactly to what the client needs. His technical training, together with his experience designing furniture, translates into a constant attention to detail that allows Influenza Espais to turn every commission into a project of its own, identifiable and with character.
