Correo Viejo is a multidisciplinary architecture studio committed to architecture, heritage, culture and people. Its founders, architects Ana Beltrán and Eva Sanjuán, created the studio in 2010, seeking a more open and flexible professional line. They are daring, creative, honest and committed.
They research and design buildings and homes that will improve the life of the neighbourhood and the people, always rethinking and innovating through tradition, being flexible and rethinking conventional solutions, daring to be different.
They seek to conserve, reactivate, rescue, recover and constantly revalue the cultural and traditional heritage, learning from all of this, to apply it to housing and new buildings, giving value to the legacy of our cities.
In new construction, they are innovative, rescuing what has always worked from tradition, creating homes that are ready to be lived in.
Ana and Eva always work with passion, sensitivity, freedom and imagination. They like to reconnect with the essential through simplicity.
“Every house, every building, every neighbourhood tells a story, every corner holds thousands of moments lived. Architectural heritage is much more than just structures that have stood the test of time. It is the backdrop of people’s past. Places with their own voice that we listen to attentively. We are passionate about immersing ourselves in these memories, seeking to understand their culture and preserve their essence. In our architectural projects we innovate by rescuing what has always worked from tradition. We seek to stir minds and challenge ourselves, recovering old materials, techniques and trades that act as bridges between the past and the future. We create spaces that awaken emotions in homes that have already been lived in or in those that are yet to be lived in. We like to vibrate and make people vibrate by spreading our passion for architectural heritage, historic neighbourhoods, culture and people” they say.
