Christophe Delcourt

Christophe Delcourt is a French designer born in Paris in 1966. He began producing furniture and lighting as an autodidact and, after founding the Delcourt Collection brand in 1995, opened his own gallery in the Marais district of Paris in 1998. He entered the French and then the international design scene, establishing himself through the authenticity of his products and the quality of his workmanship. His passion for craftsmanship, developed through his brother, a carpenter, and a craftsman friend he frequents, translates into the creation of refined, comfortable and rigorous objects where the material becomes the protagonist thanks to the skill of the processing techniques used.

In France, he has a network of craftsmen and small businesses (cabinetmakers, ceramists, upholsterers, blacksmiths and stonemasons) that allow him to create custom-made, sustainable works on the border between art and industrial craftsmanship. To this end, he has his own atelier and a collection of samples made up of a wide range of materials, colours and finishes that allow the client to personalise each design. In parallel to its activity as a manufacturer, it carries out important work for prestigious brands such as Baxter, CC-Tapis, Collection Particulière, HC28 Cosmo, Minotti, Roche Bobois and Wall&Decò.

His partnership with Minotti has been particularly productive, resulting in numerous products such as the Fil chair and armchair, the Daniels modular sofa, the Dan table, the Noor coffee tables and the Luo family of furniture, comprising a sideboard, bedside table, table and coffee table. With Baxter, with whom he has been collaborating since 2010, he has produced a wide-ranging collection of products, such as Clara, a modular leather sofa; Fany, a family of tables and consoles, and the Keren armchair and Beki pouf, both in leather. Also relevant is his collaboration with Roche Bobois, which led to the production of the Saga furniture line (with tables and sideboards); the Rive Droite family (with a leather double bed, oak bedside table and desk) and the Legend open bookcase. The production of furniture made with HC28 Cosmo is varied, ranging from the Ata, Oya, Sky, Sui and Siff tables to the Noa, Bol and Oho series of seats and sofas, as well as the Hap collection, consisting of a double bed, armchair and sofa.

In 1999 he was named designer of the year in Paris for Maison et Objet; in 2018, for the Fil Noir armchair produced by Minotti, he won the EDIDA Elle Deco International Design Awards and the Wallpaper* Design Awards. His works are exhibited in prestigious galleries such as Andreas Murkudis (Germany), Avenue Road (Canada), LeCadre Gallery (Japan), Ondene (Australia) and Ralph Pucci (USA).
