The architecture firm Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos has developed projects in many fields of architecture and at very different scales since its founding in 1974: from single-family homes or schools to major infrastructures such as stadiums, railway stations, or national museums.
Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos is headquartered in Seville, where collaborators of various backgrounds and nationalities currently work. Since 2002, Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos has had a permanent office in Amsterdam, and since 2020, also in Switzerland (Lugano). These offices are responsible for developing ongoing projects in Central Europe. The firm also has an associated studio in Madrid, where it regularly works on competitions and construction management.
Currently, among its most significant projects—at various stages of development—are the AC Lugano football stadium, a sports arena and convention center in Cornaredo, the renovation of the Banco Santander offices in Santander, the remodeling and conversion of the San Agustín Convent into a hotel in Seville, office buildings for the General State Administration in Madrid, a residential and mixed-use building on Wenckebachweg in Amsterdam, and the new law faculty at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
