The new Yuyun lamp, presented by Bover at Euroluce 2025, distills the essence of a brand defined by artisanal craftsmanship, formal lightness, and visual balance. Conceived by Joana Bover herself—founder and creative soul of the company—Yuyun radiates a quiet beauty that elevates it far beyond the functional: it is an architectural gesture that transforms lighting into a refined aesthetic experience.
Purpose-built for spaces with generous ceiling heights, its graceful, elongated form extends skyward, offering a calm yet striking visual presence. “I wanted a lamp that felt airy and beautiful, yet also practical and accessible,” says the designer. Yuyun meets this ambition with a refined proposal where its vertical shape not only directs the light but also defines space through the eloquence of emptiness.
Craftsmanship as a contemporary language
True to Bover’s ethos, the artisanal process behind each Yuyun imbues it with an emotional dimension that transcends function. The handcrafted shades speak to the value of intentional, skilled work—each one unique, each one alive. This attention to detail, woven through generations of know-how, transforms every lamp into a living object, capable of interacting meaningfully with its surroundings.
Versatile design, honest materials
Customization is another key tenet of Yuyun. Available in 43 cm and 27 cm shade options that can be combined in multiple configurations, the lamp adapts seamlessly to the proportions and needs of each space. The stone/grey beige tone of the diffusers enhances a warm, natural, and timeless light—perfect for both contemporary interiors and more classical settings.

Joana Bover: designing from lived experience
Joana Bover’s creative journey is as singular as it is coherent. With a background in audiovisual media, she began her career in the 1990s managing press relations at production houses such as Ovídeo and Lola Films, where she worked alongside director Bigas Luna—a key influence in her vision of design as storytelling. From that period, she inherited a keen sensitivity to the conceptual dimension of objects, and a cross-disciplinary view that blurs art and everyday life.
Motherhood marked a turning point, leading her to collaborate with architects at the 1992 Seville Expo, where she created iron structures that would foreshadow her future lighting collections.
Since then, Bover has built a brand rooted in local, ethical, and beautiful production—one that engages in a continuous dialogue with both time and architecture.
In this light, Yuyun is a declaration of intent: a lamp that not only illuminates, but accompanies. That doesn’t merely decorate, but structures. That isn’t just seen, but felt.
