Caterina Moretti was born in Vienna (Austria) in 1975. She holds a degree in architecture from ITESO in Guadalajara (Mexico) and a master’s degree in criticism and projects from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Barcelona).

Caterina, founder and creative director of Peca, has the ability to focus her vision on the smallest details of her furniture, accessories and interiors projects, while at the same time looking to the horizon to lead her design studio.

As a designer, her inspiration lies in nature, in materials that offer multiple possibilities of shapes and textures, and in the feasibility of transforming them into everyday objects. Her passion for textures and contrasts has translated into a range of objects that start from the organic and subtle but are imprinted with an original point of view, always with a twist that invites contemplation.

Peca’s presence in awards, exhibitions and retail outlets around the world is due to the careful selection of guest designers and artisans Caterina works with, as well as her unique spirit that lets her go in unexpected directions.
