Anabel Soria

The Valencian architect and interior designer Anabel Soria belongs to a new generation of professionals who understand domestic architecture as a tool for improving everyday life. Trained at the Universitat Politècnica de València, where she obtained her degree in Architecture, she completed part of her education at the Università degli Studi di Genova, an experience that broadened her perspective on European architectural culture and the value of the built heritage.

After her first professional years collaborating with different studios and companies in the sector, she decided in 2021 to pursue her own path by founding Anabel Soria Arquitectura e Interiorismo, a practice that currently develops projects mainly in Valencia and Madrid.

From the outset, her work has been characterised by a close and deeply attentive approach to those who inhabit the spaces she designs. From this direct relationship emerges a precise and sensitive domestic architecture, conceived to accompany new stages of life while adapting naturally to its surroundings and to the lifestyles of its owners.

Her design language is built upon a serene foundation—often defined by neutral tones, honest materials and clear architectural solutions—which is enriched with chromatic contrasts, recovered pieces and carefully considered details. This balance between restraint and character allows each project to maintain its own identity without renouncing the functionality and versatility required of domestic space.

Many of Anabel Soria’s projects involve the rehabilitation of existing homes, often places layered with memory. In these contexts she seeks to recover original architectural elements—beams, brickwork, vaults or mouldings—integrating them into a contemporary narrative where tradition and present-day living openly coexist.

The interior designer conceives the home as a profoundly personal place, a space where architecture blends with the objects, stories and journeys of those who inhabit it. It is no coincidence that her own home—a 1970s apartment transformed into a creative refuge—has become an intimate manifesto of her understanding of design: open spaces, natural light, vintage pieces and a calm palette enlivened by unexpected colours.

Today, from her studio, Anabel Soria develops projects of full renovation, interior design and decoration in which architecture is placed at the service of everyday life. Her aim is to create balanced, functional spaces with a strong sense of character, capable of becoming the setting for new stories. For her, as she often says, the delivery of a project is not the end, but the beginning of a new life for those who inhabit it.
