Trained in Art History at the Universitat de Barcelona, Jordi Canosa has worked as a photographer in Barcelona since 1995, building over three decades a practice centred on architecture, interior design and decoration. To that core he adds editorial still life and a body of personal work that finds in Paris one of its recurring settings. His name has long appeared in Spain’s leading interior design magazines, among them Habitania, Interiores, Casa Viva, Living Deco, El Mueble and Muy Mucho, and has extended to international titles such as AD Germany, Homes & Gardens, Maison de Campagne and Ville & Casali.
Alongside his editorial work, he has built a long relationship with homeware and fashion brands, for which he produces catalogues and campaigns: Kettal, Coordonné, Textura, Simon, Carpyen, Gancedo, Hoss Intropia and Massimo Dutti. Formentera holds a place of its own in his work, through a series of houses in which the island’s white architecture and rural landscape read as a single material. In the field of architecture he has documented works such as OBO Estudi’s covered multipurpose space in Sant Esteve de Palautordera (2023), and he frequently collaborates with interior designer Pia Capdevila on projects ranging from the Sant Feliu 369 eco-house to the renovation of a small palace in Paris, often with styling by Mar Gausachs.
His method takes light and texture as the means of conveying the intention of the architect or designer, a way of seeing in which his training as an art historian is recognisable. In recent years he has incorporated 3D virtual tours as an extension of that work on space. In 2026 he took part, alongside Nacho Uribesalazar, Amador Toril and Lupe Clemente, in the Casa Decor photographic catalogue.
