Bajet Giramé is a Barcelona-based architecture studio founded in 2017 by Maria Giramé and Pau Bajet after their collaboration at David Chipperfield Architects in London. The practice operates as a collaborative platform, engaging a consistent network of partners, collaborators, and clients to develop architecture projects, urban prototypes, publications, and research, with the goal of exploring and expanding the material, social, and ecological dimensions of contemporary spatial practice.

The studio’s work spans a wide range of scales and typologies, from collective housing and urban planning to domestic renovations and adaptive reuse of rural spaces. Notably, they are currently working on:

• 83 units of senior cohousing and public facilities for the Barcelona City Council

• 72 units of social housing for the Prat de Llobregat City Council

• The transformation of a rural campsite in the Ebro Delta

• Urban planning for Alcanar

• Several domestic and productive space renovations

In addition to their built work, Bajet Giramé is deeply engaged with the cultural and academic spheres. They are currently co-curators of the UIA 2026 World Congress of Architects in Barcelona and editors of Quaderns d’Arquitectura i Urbanisme no. 274 (Spring 2024).

Teaching & Research

Bajet Giramé combines professional practice with a strong commitment to education, research, and curatorial work:

• Maria Giramé teaches Architectural Design at ETSALS (La Salle School of Architecture) in Barcelona.

• Pau Bajet, who holds a PhD from the School of Architecture at London Metropolitan University (2023), teaches Architectural Design at ETSAB (UPC) and the MIAD Master’s Program at ETSALS. He has also taught at UK institutions including Birmingham City University and London Met.
