Jaime Hayon designs Talk talk for Nanimarquina, a rug collection featuring his iconic faces

The new Talk talk collection by designer Jaime Hayon for Nanimarquina explores the relationship between art and design through its iconic faces, as amusing as they are expressive.

With a vibrant, ironic and colourful design, each rug features organic shapes and bold colours that invite interaction. A celebration of dialogue and communication through the expressiveness of their faces, always full of energy and enthusiasm.

This collection is the fifth collaboration between Hayon and Nani Marquina, and unlike previous occasions in which the carpet became a canvas to capture their art, now it is the work itself that comes to life in the form of a carpet.

Talk Talk, handwoven and handcrafted from New Zealand wool, is a contemporary and versatile piece that fuses creativity and functionality. A collection that tells stories and fosters cosy and creative environments. Available in 2 sizes and 3 colours.

Jaime Hayon

Spanish artist and designer Jaime Hayon was born in Madrid in 1974. His artistic vision was first exhibited in the installations Barroco Digital Mediterráneo and Mon Cirque. These collections placed Jaime at the forefront of a new wave that blurred the boundaries between art, decoration and design, adding to a renaissance of intricate and finely crafted objects in the context of contemporary design culture.

Jaime further defined his vision in subsequent solo exhibitions and shows at major design and art galleries and fairs around the world. After founding Hayon Studio in 2001, his extensive client portfolio has spanned diverse functions and media, including home furnishings for BD Barcelona, Cassina, Fritz Hansen, &Tradition and Magis; lighting fixtures for Parachilna, Metalarte and Swarovski; and sophisticated objects for Bisazza, Lladró and Baccarat. He has also created complete interiors for major hotels, restaurants, museums and commercial establishments around the world.

Hayon Studio has its creative base in Valencia (Spain) and offices in Barcelona and Treviso (Italy). Jaime’s work has been featured in the world’s most prestigious art and design publications. He has won numerous awards, including multiple Elle Decoration International Design Awards, included by Wallpaper magazine in its Top 100 list and recognised by the magazine as one of the most influential creators of the last decade, praised as a visionary and one of the most creative icons by Times magazine.
