The Mediterránea collection, designed by Todobarro, reinterprets the aesthetic language of the zellige to bring it back to the 21st century.
Zellige is a type of handmade mosaic tile that is characteristic of Hispano-Arabic architecture and dates back to the 10th century in Fez (Morocco). These tiles are glazed by hand and cut by hand, after firing, using a small sharp hammer called a menqach.
