Born from a meticulous creative process, the Platane collection, designed by Corpus Studio for Mono Editions, is an homage to simplicity, materiality, and the art of construction — a set of pieces that, while refined in style, are deeply rooted in time-honored craftsmanship.
The collection features sleek aesthetics and soft curves, utilizing modularity to create striking silhouettes from standardized thick wooden profiles. The result is a collection that is both sculptural and functional, intended for those who wish to infuse their spaces with a bold contemporary edge without sacrificing comfort, usability, or ergonomics.

Each piece is crafted from plane tree wood, chosen for its profound historical ties to France. Planted en masse under Napoleon, plane trees have become an enduring symbol of French landscapes, from the bustling Parisian boulevards to the quiet provincial roads. Many of these trees have succumbed to disease, but the Platane collection offers this noble wood a second life. The organic, speckled grain of the wood ensures that each piece is truly unique. Its rugged texture contrasts with the elegant, minimalist designs, adding richness, depth, and character.
The collection is as historical as it is avant-garde. It subtly draws from the Swedish Grace movement and the elemental lines of ancient architecture. The fusion of these influences results in pieces that are visually captivating, timeless, and deeply resonant. Each piece is meticulously designed to reveal its structure, celebrating the tension and dialogue between materials.

Corpus Studio
Founded by Konrad Steffensen and Ronan Le Grand, Corpus Studio creates spaces, objects, environments, stories, and atmospheres. Their approach is inherently transdisciplinary, merging architecture, decorative arts, fine arts, and furniture design to develop a comprehensive vision and a unique identity.
Each project begins with an analytical study, carried out in close collaboration with clients to develop rational and sensitive solutions that maximize the potential and specific characteristics of each space.
They use volume, light, shadow, form, proportion, texture, and materiality to craft poetic, emotional environments — spaces that seek to provide not only aesthetic delight but also architectural inquiry and daily comfort. Their working method is deeply collaborative, supported by a robust network of artisans, engineers, builders, and specialized consultants.
