The Adolfo Domínguez brand, currently led by Adriana Domínguez and with 340 shops around the world, is committed to creating permanent textile installations in its shops, as have the brands Dior and Hermes, among others, and has chosen the artist, designer and craftswoman Regina Dejiménez to carry out this beautiful project.
This initiative, which highlights the value of manual work and craftsmanship, shows the support of the Adolfo Domínguez brand for innovation and contemporary Spanish culture, committing to a new approach in the interior design of shops that develops a new shopping experience for customers, as most brands in the sector are promoting.
Regina Dejiménez is carrying out a project in which art, craftsmanship and design converge on the basis of a creative concept and a working methodology, developed in several of the Spanish brand’s shops: Madrid, Valladolid, Bilbao, Mallorca, Granada, Lisbon…

This project has been named Quantum, alluding to the quantum physics that has contributed so much to our understanding of the phenomena of nature, the behaviour of matter, the differences and similarities between the scales of the micro and macro cosmos…
“This concept helps us to abstract forms and connect with a new experience of nature, time and space” says Regina, adding “On a practical level, I have designed a working methodology in which I use the design of several sculptural modules that can be combined with each other, vary in scale and adapt their shapes to the architecture of each shop“.
Through monochromatic three-dimensional textures and forms, the artist invades the spaces through the creation of a flow of matter that enters each shop, combining in its composition and textures the different states of matter: solid, liquid and gaseous.
The result is these beautiful installations of abstract art that remind us of organic forms, roots, foam, microscopic beings, geographical and biological forms and which, in each shop, take the form of new designs offering different experiences, evoking, depending on the geographical location of each shop, the Ocean or the Earth.
Working with cotton gauze in its rawest shade, 100% made in Spain, the artist Regina Dejiménez builds a personal universe adapted to the architecture of each space. Like a made-to-measure dress, her pieces adapt flexibly to each of the corners and planes of the intervened space. Through modelling, construction and haute couture, the intervention merges with architecture. Its forms and volumes jump from one reality to another, creating new imaginaries and visions.
Regina Dejiménez and Adolfo Dominguez share their vision of weaving not only as a work tool, but also their relationship with the land, with roots and with authenticity.
