On the Lazo Tables shines the millenary trace of the knowledge that paved the way for humanity: earth, fire, wood and metal. These pieces tell the story of their process with a frank voice. The hands that patiently girdled the shape of its base in terracotta. The soft crackling of the wood under the flame. Mineral and metallic, the exact moment when the bronze made each part a whole.

Lazo Tables
The Lazo Tables took shape through a surprising exploration. The base was modelled by hands that followed the millenary forms of terracotta, and on it they scattered the bronze powder that, in the oven, would give it resistance over time. The design of its cover came from a sensitive eye that sought elegance in simple forms and found it, through the technique of burning, in the unique character of the wood grain. The ribbon suddenly emerged from the spark that, over the expected, gave way to the incandescent beauty of the unexpected.

Lazo Lamp
Extending the bond and the incandescent beauty of the tables in the collection, this lamp is added through the act of weaving. For the base, a terracotta filament which, following its millenary technique, has been twisted and scattered with bronze powder which, in the oven, consolidates its resistance over time. For the lampshade, linen fibres woven into a whitish net that attenuates the light and makes it the ideal companion for an intimate reading, a close conversation or a quiet night’s rest.

Melisa Aldrete
Sensitive to chance, he decided to study Art Direction in England. On finishing his degree, he returned to Guadalajara and co-founded Pop Dots, a ceramics studio that seeks to open up spaces for curiosity through creation: questions that are answered in the form of pieces; research into the body, materials and the environment; the recovery of craft techniques as a means of contemporary expression.
Caterina Moretti
Caterina Moretti was born in Vienna (Austria) in 1975. She has a degree in architecture from ITESO in Guadalajara (Mexico) and a master’s degree in criticism and projects from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Barcelona).
Caterina, founder and creative director of Peca, has the ability to focus her vision on the smallest details of her furniture, accessories and interior design projects, while at the same time looking to the horizon to direct her design studio.
As a designer, her inspiration comes from nature, from materials that offer multiple possibilities in terms of shapes and textures, and from the feasibility of transforming them into everyday objects. Her passion for textures and contrasts has resulted in a range of objects that start from the organic and subtle but are stamped with an original point of view, always with a twist that invites contemplation.
The presence of Peca in awards, exhibitions and points of sale around the world is due to the careful selection of guest designers and craftsmen Caterina works with, as well as her unique spirit that lets her go in unexpected directions.
Peca Estudio
For this design studio located in Guadalajara (Mexico), details are everything. Since 2007, Caterina Moretti has brought her special ability to work with natural materials in a unique way to the brand, exploring new possibilities of form and texture to bring nature indoors. The creative spirit of Peca has been enriched by collaborations with local craftsmen and guest designers, resulting in a catalogue that honours tradition as much as innovation. Peca welcomes special requests from its customers. They combine their work on design collections with individual projects that include furniture design, accessories and interior design.
