Antoni Arola’s artistic research gravitates around an essential and immaterial element: light. He does so both in its absence and in its presence, whether natural or artificial. From this dialogue with light – and its interaction with space – he seeks to appeal to the viewer’s visual perception, inviting him to immerse himself in a new world: intangible, poetic and always open to new interpretations.

To this end, his work responds to the eternal search for beauty. An intuitive search that is permeable to chance. A search inspired fundamentally by ancestral cultures, digital codes and chance encounters. The method is play, and the maxim: the use of as few elements as possible. Beyond light and space, colour is another of his constants.

His long career dedicated to the exploration of light has led him to exhibit all over the world and to receive several awards and recognitions. Antoni combines his artistic practice with commercial projects and teaching.
