Located in the north of the island of Ibiza, in the area of Santa Eulalia, this hotel, belonging to Concept Hotel Group, evokes the style of the Amalfi coast thanks to an ambitious project full of personality, sophistication and unique pieces.

Mongibello is the name given by the writer Patricia Highsmith to the fictitious village where the famous story of her novel The Talent of Mr Ripley takes place, later turned into films, with great actors such as Alain Delon, Marie Laforet or Maurice Ronet in René Clément’s version or Matt Damon, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow or Cate Blanchett in Anthony Minghella’s version.

We borrowed the name of the village because we loved the metaphor of a place, a village that does not exist, or that is ephemeral and where people, like the character in the film, can be whatever they want to be“, say the interior designers at IlmioDesign.

The result is a fresh, dynamic and elegant space that evokes that Italian Dolce Vita, but in a rogue style, where a chromatic palette inspired by the colours of the Mediterranean predominates, a good selection of exclusive pieces, geometric prints and a customised lighting design created especially for this hotel that seeks to surprise guests.

Mongibello bears the stamp of Ilmio Design from start to finish, a studio that works with the passion of craftsmen who take care of all the details, giving soul to all their projects, giving each one its own personality based on the defined creative concept.

Details such as the Alfa Romeo Spider parked at the entrance, the Vespa parked at the entrance or the brand new testa di moro welcoming the visitors have been carefully chosen by the interior designers to create the defined ambience.

The interior designers have collaborated with a group of artists and designers such as Albert García, Marcos Torres, Sergio Prieto and Daniela Díez, contributing pieces that add to the interior design of the spaces.

The Ibizan graphic artist Marcos Torres has created 32 portraits of celebrities linked to Ibiza, such as Ángel Nieto, Ángela Molina and Tony Pike, which can be enjoyed in the hotel’s 32 suites.

Sergio Prieto, a designer from Toledo based in Lisbon and founder of Dovain Studio, has designed exclusively for the hotel ‘Il Specchio’, a mirror that can be admired in all the rooms.

Graphic designer and illustrator Daniela Díez, aka Chenta, has captured the essence of the dolce vita that the hotel breathes in a splendid mural that hides the entrance to the clandestine night club, Lola’s, another of the hotel’s jewels.

Ilmio Design

Ilmio Design was born from the meeting of architect Michele Corbani and industrial designer Andrea Spada. Italians by birth and citizens of the world by vocation, they decided to set up their own studio after a prestigious career in various architecture and interior design studios. Both graduated from the Polytechnic University of Milan, they bring their talent from Spain to the international scene.

Ilmio Design is a heterogeneous family of architects, industrial designers, interior designers and graphic artists. Thanks to this mix of points of view, synergies and disciplines enrich each project. There are no intermediaries, no conceptual clashes, no time-consuming deadlines and no surprise costs. There is an idea, and a team that strives to make it a reality. Everything stays at home.

They work with a passion for detail, like the craftsmen of yesteryear and with excellence as their goal, achieving creations with their own personality. They do not believe in overproduction, the mainstream, things without soul. They design and produce unique spaces and objects, ad hoc for each concept.

They do not believe in watertight structures. Their international network of collaborators adjusts and grows with the needs of each project, enriching it with their know-how and personal experiences. Talent knows no physical barriers. Neither do we.

Their designs are born with the aim of meeting the physical (spatiality, comfort, functionality) and psychological (beauty, aesthetics, harmony) needs of the people who live in them. They are a reflection of our times, our society and its diversity. When developing a project, they take into account and respect the cultural references, history and customs of their own geographical setting.

They carry out projects for housing, hotels, restaurants, commercial spaces and large hotel chains.
