Designed by the Panter&Tourron studio for Vitra, the Anagrama collection consists of various modules and elements that can be used in different residential or corporate environments. The modules are designed as islands that can be combined with other modules on all four sides and fitted with additional elements such as backrests, side panels or attachable tables. This allows for endless configurations, which can be easily customised again and again, depending on the needs of the moment.
“Vitra nos planteó un reto muy concreto: ¿Cómo fabricar un sofá que sirva como puente entre la actualidad y la situación residencial de los próximos 30 años? De ahí partió la idea de modularidad y una plataforma flexible” comentan los diseñadores.
Residential environments
With only eleven different components (modules and elements), it is possible to assemble the right configuration for a wide variety of spaces: small, large, single-sided, double-sided, with alternating sides, closed, open, etc. And when needs change, Anagram can easily adapt to the new situation.
“The sofa has evolved and is no longer glued to the wall. On the contrary, it can take on a free and playful form, accessible through 360 degrees, so that each element can be attached or removed with a click from either side” explain the designers.
Corporate environments
Anagrama is the ideal sofa platform for modern companies, whose environments are constantly evolving.
Anagram’s large seat cushions offer pleasant comfort for sitting, lounging or napping – at home, in the office or in public spaces. The padded panels can be placed in the position that best suits the needs of the moment.
The soft and cosy cushions are filled exclusively with recycled, separable and recyclable PET fibres. The polyester fibres have excellent elastic properties and offer pleasant comfort.
Anagram fabric covers are easy to remove for cleaning or replacement. All components are completely separate from other materials (nothing is glued, laminated or foamed). This means that they can be easily separated at the end of the product’s life and recycled again or disposed of properly.

Panter&Tourron
Stefano Panterotto (Italy, 1988) and Alexis Tourron (France, 1991) met while studying at the Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne (ECAL), a renowned art and design university where they both graduated in 2015 with a master’s degree in Advanced Studies in Luxury Design and Craftsmanship.
In 2016 they created the Panter&Tourron studio in Lausanne, where they develop products and visual experiences in which design, technology and society converge.
Their approach is based on material research and technical innovation, challenging the conventional codes of the objects and images that surround us. With a bold and experimental outlook, they seek to rethink the relationship between the visual and the functional, opening up new possibilities in contemporary design. In 2023, they began collaborating with Vitra, bringing their unique vision and exploring how design can evolve in tune with the social and technological transformations of the present.
