He has received the 2024 Richard H. Driehaus Building Arts Award for his work as a carved fired-clay brick artisan.

The prizes are awarded annually to masters who have excelled in the preservation and continuation of traditional building crafts in each category: masonry and stonework, carpentry work, finishing and other traditional building work, and glass and metal work.
