Coming from Singapore, The Rasidence follows the success of the studio’s previous project, Residence L, and reaffirms their design identity. This duplex artfully unites temporal contrasts in a balanced interior that communicates serenity and intention.
In the dining area, a custom-built shelf is seamlessly integrated into the wall, subtly enhancing the flow and organization of the space.
The warm, open-plan kitchen features a bar counter that pays homage to the owners’ roots. In the living room, sliding ash wood screens elegantly define the space while offering views of the peaceful garden outside.
A tree planted on the lower level symbolizes life’s journey and growth, inviting nature into the home. The staircase has also been completely reimagined. Now resting on two timber foundation platforms, its reoriented layout improves circulation to the upper floor.
Upstairs, an artificial skylight bathes the mezzanine in natural-like light, dramatically transforming what was once a dimly lit area. The main focal point on the upper level is a minimalist wall mural sculpted by light, framing the space with a contemporary charm.
Preserving the curved volumes of the original architecture, the headboard in the master bedroom exudes continuity and elegance. Custom-built skylights extend their gentle glow into the bathrooms, using clean, minimal forms. The overall palette of cream and neutral tones creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the home.

Right Angle Studio
Based in Singapore, Right Angle Studio is an award-winning design firm founded in 2011 by Alex Liu and Jay Liu. Since its inception, the studio has worked on both residential and commercial interior design projects.
Their services include interior design consulting, design direction, spatial planning, and interior styling.
The studio’s work has been featured in leading international design publications, including Interior Design Magazine(New York), Elle Decor (Italy), Monocle (London), Design Anthology (Hong Kong), Design Milk, ArchDaily, and Minimalissimo.
Alex Liu is the design director and co-founder of Right Angle Studio. Before launching the studio, he worked at the firm of renowned Singaporean architect Peter Tay, contributing to numerous residential and commercial projects.
Jay Liu is an award-winning art director and co-founder of the studio, overseeing business development and creative collaborations.
