Raúl Martins and Maisons du Monde, a sensory alliance at Casa Decor 2025

The Madrid-based interior designer, with over two decades of experience and seventeen editions of Casa Decor under his belt, once again makes an impact in the 2025 edition with a stellar collaboration alongside the French company Maisons du Monde.

The space, titled Restaurante Maisons: an invitation to travel from home, has been one of the standout features of this 60th edition, held at the building on Sagasta 33. With 163 square meters arranged as a functional restaurant, the project transforms into an immersive experience where every object, texture, and color is designed to evoke serenity, comfort, and an unadorned beauty.

Martins, known for his refined and timeless visual language, has elegantly integrated the new collections from Maisons du Monde into a warm, natural, and deeply inviting setting. The space is adorned with organic materials and neutral tones—beige, sand, stone—where soft textiles, artisanal ceramics, stoneware vases, and natural plants stand out as silent protagonists of an almost therapeutic atmosphere.

In addition to its impeccable staging, the Restaurante Maisons—operated by Rosewood Villa Magna—serves as a meeting point for professionals, press, and design enthusiasts. The concept is twofold: to inspire visually and sensorially, reaffirming that interior design is an art that is lived and experienced.

With this new participation, Raúl Martins solidifies his position as one of the key figures in Spanish interior design. His ability to collaborate with major brands without compromising his essence—balance, harmony, sophistication—makes him an essential voice for understanding the current state of interior design in our country. And if this edition of Casa Decor proves anything, it’s that when there is synergy between artistic vision and brand culture, the result is not only seen: it is felt.

Raúl Martins

He studied Political Science and Administration at the Complutense University of Madrid and Interior Architecture in 1996 at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He completed his academic training with a course in Landscaping at the University of Bath and another course in Historical Heritage Restoration at the University of Scotland.

His studio brings together a multidisciplinary team of experts in interior design, decoration, architecture, and graphic design. He has completed residential projects in Europe and the United States, corporate headquarters for various companies, commercial spaces, private clinics, and corporate showrooms or temporary spaces.

The style of Spanish interior designer Raúl Martins is characterized by the creation of contemporary spaces that balance unique design, art, and antiques, expressed in individualized and distinctive interiors. One of Martins’ hallmarks is his use of color, which he employs to harmonize heterogeneous elements in his projects. Additionally, he incorporates natural textures and materials such as stone, ceramics, and raw woods, adding depth and warmth to the spaces. Craftsmanship also plays a fundamental role in his work. Martins values artisanal work and the lovingly made products from Spain, integrating unique and quality pieces into his designs.
