The Room Studio converts an office in Barcelona into a modern home with a timeless design and an exquisite selection of furniture.

15 June 2024
The interior designers have prioritised multipurpose and open-plan spaces by choosing natural materials with a spectacular use of wood. The aim was to achieve a "very liveable" space for a married couple with a young daughter.
Home

The integration of the living room with the dining room and kitchen in this home designed by The Room Studio produces a large open space of great luminosity with furniture of organic shapes and natural materials in neutral, earthy and white colours, alternating with green and bluish details.

In the living room , a large sofa stands out next to a large rug in blue tones, by CC-Tapis, which acts as a canvas, enhancing the neutral colour palette.

The dining room exhibits a beautiful travertine table by Gubi together with the sculptural Dudet chairs by Cassina which, with the playful composition of lamps by Vibia, complete a modern and sophisticated space.

This space communicates with a terrace with chill-out and dining area through sliding glass doors.

In the bedroom area we discover a suite with a bathroom, dressing room and a vanity area, expressly requested by the family, which has been carefully designed with walls decorated with natural linen wallpaper.

The bathroom in the master suite is inspired by the ambience of a spa, to enjoy a space of calm and wellbeing.

In the children’s room we find a small multi-purpose room with greenish tones in both the study area and the bathroom.

Throughout the house, wooden doors that open up to the ceiling and are frameless enhance the feeling of spaciousness in all the rooms.

This house with its timeless design and modern touches perfectly reflects the personality of our clients. We have managed to unify different spaces, softening lines and giving it that organic touch that makes it so special. Nothing makes us happier that they have trusted us again in this project, welcome home!” says Meritxel Ribé, creative director of the studio.
