In his own words, Mauricio Fuertes “wasn’t born a photographer.” Before dedicating himself to the lens, he spent nearly a decade working as a currency trader in cities such as Barcelona, Geneva, Mexico City and Santiago de Chile. Although he found success in the financial sector, his true passion had always been photography. Eventually, he left the corporate world to follow his artistic calling—a decision he has never regretted.

Mauricio is widely admired for his ability to capture the essence of architectural and interior spaces, blending technical mastery with a refined artistic sensibility. His meticulous eye and talent for conveying mood and spatial experience have made him a point of reference in architectural photography.

Among his most prominent works are The ClubHell BellsA Woman’s DayVinos DO MontsantIntimate EncountersLions Gate CapitalClínica CRGIDEP Institut Superior de DissenyBodega Clos Pons, and oTB Hospitality.

Beyond his commercial work, Mauricio has developed personal projects that have taken him across Southeast Asia, North and South America, the Middle East and North Africa. In 2006, he published Indochina, a photographic chronicle of six months of travel through Southeast Asia.

Since 2014, Mauricio has been based in Mallorca, though he continues to divide his professional time between the island and Barcelona. He works in close collaboration with interior stylist Andrea Pussin at their shared creative practice, Organic Studio, in Palma. “And… when I’m not behind the camera,” he says, “you’ll most likely find me outdoors, climbing somewhere, enjoying life as much as I can!”
