Born in Burgos and based in Madrid, Germán Saiz began his professional career after studying graphic design and photography in Valencia. His first steps took place in the worlds of interior design and fashion, where he developed a keen eye for visual composition and aesthetic nuance. Over time, he established himself as a freelance photographer, specialising in editorial work, portraiture, and architecture.
Germán is widely recognised for his ability to capture the essence of both spaces and individuals, merging technical precision with artistic sensibility. His meticulous approach and intuitive grasp of atmosphere have made him a benchmark figure in architectural and interior photography.

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with a broad array of architecture and interior design studios, documenting residential, commercial, and cultural projects. His portfolio includes renowned names such as Renzo Piano, Mathew Williamson, Katharina Grosse, Tina Seidenfaden, Riad Bulgari, Iris Van Herpen, Georg Kayser, Dries Van Noten, John Pawson, Ai Weiwei and Madrid in Love.
His photographs have been featured in leading architecture and design publications, solidifying his reputation as a versatile photographer deeply committed to visual excellence. He frequently collaborates with fashion and lifestyle editorials, including AD, GQ, Woman, and Casa&Campo, among others.

In 2017, he took part in the exhibition Retrato Editorial at Palacio Quintanar, showcasing a series of intimate portraits of media figures. His lens captured gestures, details, glances, and silences—each imbued with a quiet, expressive power.
Beyond his professional practice, Germán also pursues personal projects that explore the relationship between people and the spaces they inhabit. Driven by a strong interest in visual storytelling, he creates photographic series that invite reflection and offer new perspectives on the everyday.
